Young brilliant conductor
Since 1995 Ms. Kulbaba has been a conductor of the National Opera of Ukraine. She is the Musical Director of Camera Orchestra Academia of Music and instructor of Kyiv University of Arts and Culture, and the Department of Conducting. Alla is a guest conductor of Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. As assistant of the Chief Conductor of National Opera of Ukraine, Alla Kulbaba has taken part in main opera performances such as Aida, Rigoletto by Verdi, Pique Dame, Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, Don Giovanni by Mozart, and others.
Roger McMurrin, conductor
Mr. McMurrin has studied with Robert Shaw, Helmuth Rilling, and Daniel Moe. He has also presented and shared in presentation of workshops with musical giants such as Sir David Willcocks, John Rutter, Simon Preston, and Marie-Clair Alain. As a conductor, Mr. McMurrin's extensive orchestral and choral masterpieces include: the Requiems of Brahms, Mozart, Verdi, Faure, Durufle, and Berlioz; the Glorias of Poulenc, Rutter, and Vivaldi; Handel's Messiah; many of Bach's cantatas plus his St. Matthew Passion, Magnificat, and B Minor Mass; Beethoven's Ninth Symphony; Mendelssohn's Elijah; Honneggar's Christmas Cantata; and Walton's Belshazzar's Feast. His orchestral repertoire includes works of Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach, Rimsky-Korsakov, Copland, Berlioz, Faure, Ravel, and Barber. In 1977, Mr. McMurrin founded the Dallas Chamber Orchestra. He has been the co-conductor of the Sinfonia Virtuosi, a professional chamber orchestra in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1992, he conducted Handel's Messiah in Tokyo with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra formed by Seiji Ozawa. In 1993 Mr. McMurrin established the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and has presented over 80 concerts in Kyiv, many of them premiers of famous Western works. They have produced eight recordings.
